The Daihatsu Terios (Japanese: ダイハツ・テリオス, Hepburn: Daihatsu Teriosu ) is a mini SUV produced by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Daihatsu since 1997 equally the successor to the F300 series Rocky. It was initially offered in both curt and long-wheelbase configurations before the sometime stopped production in 2016 to be replaced by the A200 serial Rocky crossover in 2019. Initially previewed as the MS-X97, the first generation Terios was available as a five-door wagon, and a smaller kei car model called the Terios Child, which was only released in Nippon. Model codes for the first generation model were J100, J102 and J122. The Terios Kid arrived in October 1998 and connected to be built half dozen years afterward the original Terios had been replaced. By the end of 2002, Daihatsu sold 33,000 units of Terios and 97,000 units of Terios Kid.[eight]

The first generation Terios is also known as the Toyota Cami (Japanese: トヨタ・キャミ, Hepburn: Toyota Kyami ) in Nippon. A kei car version, called Terios Kid or Terios Lucia, also available for local market until 2012.

Malaysia [edit]

In Malaysia, the Terios was locally assembled equally the Perodua Kembara by Perodua. It was unveiled in Baronial 1998. In June 2003, the Kembara was updated with DVVT engines. The concept model called D-Meaty 4x4 made an appearance in September 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and in November 2005 at the 39th Tokyo Motor Bear witness before existence named to Terios, which went into production in January 2006. On 14 December 2006, Daihatsu and Toyota launched the second generation Terios and first generation Rush in Indonesia. The Rush initially came with two trim levels: G and S. The Due south trim of the Blitz was afterwards replaced past the TRD Sportivo trim on 29 August 2013, while the Terios received minor facelifts.

On 20 March 2015, the Terios and Rush received its second facelift. Malaysia [edit]

In Malaysia, the second generation Terios is available every bit the Toyota Rush (2008 to 2017) and Perodua Nautica (2008 to 2009). The Blitz was introduced in January 2008 as a long-wheelbase model. The third generation Terios was unveiled in Republic of indonesia on 23 November 2017, forth with the second generation Rush.[41] [42] [43] [44] The development of the auto was led by chief engineer Eiji Fujibayashi in 2015, with its design influenced from the FT Concept.[45] [46] [47] Dissimilar previous models, these generation of cars are sold in long wheelbase configuration only and neither the curt wheelbase configuration nor four-wheel bulldoze choice are offered. The Terios does not equipped with six airbags or seat belt indicators, but it comes with 360-degree around view camera.

Due to high demand, the production of Terios and Blitz was also conducted in Astra Daihatsu Motor's Karawang plant aslope the Sunter plant since August 2019.[51] [52]

In July 2018, the car won the "Good Design Indonesia of The Year" award.[53] [54] [55]

In August 2018, during the 26th Gaikindo Indonesia International Motorcar Show, the R Custom variant of the Terios was added.[56]

On ix August 2021, the TRD Sportivo trim of the Rush was renamed to GR Sport and received redesigned front and rear bumper spoilers, redesigned side body moulding with GR logo and "GR Sport" keepsake on the tailgate.[57] The Rush was too updated with automatic idling end system for both G and GR Sport trims. The GR Sport trim likewise received automobile retractable mirror and an updated touchscreen head unit without the CD slot.

In September 2021, the Terios was updated with "Eco-Idle" start-stop system, vehicle stability control and colina-start assist for all trim levels.[58]

Philippines [edit]

The Rush was released in the Philippines on 4 May 2018 and is offered in 2 trim levels: E, which has 5 seats and is available with either manual or automatic transmission, and Thou, which has seven seats and is only available with an automatic manual.[59] [lx] [61]

In November 2020, the Eastward trim received a reverse photographic camera and 7-seater as standard.[62]

Brunei [edit]

Afterward the replacement of the first and second generation Terios (sold under Daihatsu badge), the Rush was released in Negara brunei darussalam on 5 May 2018.[63] The car is available in mid or loftier-form model lineups, iv-speed automatic transmission and seven-seat variant merely.

People's republic of bangladesh [edit]

In Bangladesh, the Rush is only bachelor in 1 trim level: S, which has 7 seats and iv-speed automated transmission option only.[64]

United Arab Emirates [edit]

The Blitz was released in UAE on 14 May 2018.[65] [66] Only a vii-seater version is available.

South Africa [edit]

The Blitz was released in South Africa on four July 2018, replaced the previous Daihatsu-badged Terios.[67] It is only available in a v-seat version and offered in five-speed manual or four-speed automatic options.

Jamaica [edit]

The Blitz was released in Jamaica on eight July 2018.[68] Only a seven-seater version is available.

Republic of colombia [edit]

The Rush was released in Colombia on 26 July 2018.[69] [seventy] [71] Only a 7-seater version is available.

Pakistan [edit]

The Rush was unveiled in Pakistan on 31 August 2018. Information technology went on sale on 10 September 2018. Iii variants are available and at that place is only a seven-seat option.[72] [73] [74]

Malaysia [edit]

Toyota Rush [edit]

The Blitz was launched in Malaysia on eighteen October 2018. Information technology is assembled past Perodua as a complete knock-downwards unit of measurement at its plant in Rawang, Selangor. There is only a seven-seat variant. Information technology is only available with a four-speed automatic transmission though 2 trim levels are available: 1.5 G and 1.v S. Perodua Aruz [edit]

The Rush is also sold by Perodua as the Perodua Aruz, which was launched on xv Jan 2019.[39] The name "Aruz" is taken from the Malay word "arus", meaning "flow".[76] A media preview occurred in December 2018 while booking opened on 3 January 2019, and since so has fabricated 2,200 bookings at the time of launch.[77] [78] There is but a seven-seat version. It is available only with a four-speed automatic manual though two trim levels are available: 1.five Ten and 1.5 AV (Advance). By March 2019, Perodua had successfully delivered four,000 units of the Aruz with a total booking count at 14,000,[79] and by the first of June 2019, roughly 13,000 Aruz had been delivered with a full booking count standing at 25,000.[80] On 9 May 2021, Perodua launched an updated version of the Aruz which now includes Auto-Locking doors, side steps and a new Passion Red color.[81]

On xv July 2019, Toyota had appear that around threescore,000 units of the Indonesian market Rush manufactured from December 2017 to February 2019 would be recalled due to a problem regarding the airbags.
